The cruise is BOOKED!
I know I have been talking about this for a long time.
Some of you know that the cruise from last year fell through, but this year we are booked and sailing! It will be me Anna and Rog, maybe Dan.

We are sailing on Freedom of the Seas, the biggest ship currently sailing.
Here are some stats about the ship:
Maiden Voyage: June 4, 2006
Passenger Capacity: 3,634 double occupancy
Godmother: Katherine Louise Calder
Gross Tonnage: 160,000
Length: 1,112'
Max Beam: 184'
Draft: 28'
Cruising Speed: 21.6 knots

There is an ice skating rink, rock wall, surf pool, and more!

I will post updates as they occur. I am very excited.

I am Seth Rogens Twin

So I think I need glasses. I take that back, I know I need glasses, but always get told my eyes arent that bad. Well I decided to go to the mall to try on glasses. I took the person that I trust the most with style, Kitty, sorry Brad, I trust you too, but Kitty wins, in the glasses category, then Lisa. I trust those who wear glasses. Well I tried on a few pairs, and my first thought is, uh oh! I look like Seth Rogen, see pics below. This isnt a bad thing, as long as I look like Seth Rogen who lost 60 pounds for Green Hornet and not Seth Rogen from Knocked Up.

Some of you may know that I have been waiting for a headboard for my bed since I moved into my apartment. All I have had is a mattress on a frame pushed up against the wall. This was making it very hard to read in bed, unless I was propped up by 3 or 4 pillows.

Well yesterday I got my headboard, after it sat in storage for about 4 months. Is it all I wanted it to be? No, the look of it matches non of the dark furniture that was purchased for my apartment. BUT it does help in propping up and reading in bed, so I am happy. I will try to post a picture shortly.

Leaving Towson

I wanted to let everyone know that I am officially leaving Towson.

I have accepted a position back at Florida State University.

I had an amazing time at ACPA with the FSU Staff.

I am sad to leave Towson, but look forward to the opportunities at FSU.

So we are going on a cruise.
By we I mean Anna, Roger, myself, and others.
I am very very excited to be going on my first cruise. Many of you have heard the story about how the cruise fell through last summer, that was stressful and upsetting. But this year there is no falling through, we are CRUISING!

Hopefully we will confirm the trip in the next week or so. We are looking at a 9 night cruise in June. It will be a nice break after closing and before summer work ramps up. It will be very hot and I am sure Anna and I will burn, but it will be a blast.

It looks like the ship we are sailing on is the same one Jenna just took on her cruise. She enjoyed it. I am just really looking forward to eating food, relaxing, taking an excursion or two, going to the spa, ect.

I hope to have more to post as the trip is finalized.

Bryan and Gregs Excellent (or not so) Adventure

Mission- dinner at Buca di Beppo in DC.
Status- almost a failure

So after a LONG day of interviewing, Greg and I decided to head into DC to get some dinner at Buca di Beppo, basically one of Greg's favorite places to eat. I grab directions off of Google Maps and we are good to go. Well DONT TRUST GOOGLE MAPS!. We left at 6:30, we should have arrived at 7pm, we arrived at 8pm. The directions were wrong, I thought I would get us into DC. No luck, we were on Penn. Ave in the wrong directions.

BRIGHT IDEA, call Lisa. Lisa is making risotto, she cant talk. Kitty gets out a map and gives me directions. We miss 17th street, we end up in Virginia. I eventually get us back to DC. Frustrated we find Buca di Beppo and pay for valet parking.

Dinner was good, took a lot of food home.

HOME. We had no idea how to get out of DC, we drove around for a half hour and eventually found the 295 home. It was an adventure!
